For Mae: Skysims 087 and 089 retextured!

*has the beginning of another cold and is covered in Hello Kitty band-aids while headbanging to The Retrosic's "The Storm"*

These two hairs have made me hostile to small creatures--so if you have one of those ugly, midget dogs anywhere in my vicinity and you don't want a 3 3/4 inch spikey heel taking the place of its face, get it somewhere safe. :3

Anyway....(note: that was sarcasm in case anyone didn't get that)

*shamelessly steals Elexis' heart wallpaper idea* Speaking of which...does anyone know if there are any high resolution patterns? Do they exist?

I unfortunately couldn't get rid of the residual grease Skysims hairs tend to leave no matter what texture you use. Oh well. I also did EA highlights for 089, but uh...it looks more useful as streaked hair :3

 Does anyone happen to have a separate file (separate from a huge set I mean--so I can extract the .dds files) for these two store hairs (Duck's Tail, and Fins Out)? I would love to retexture these as they are my favourite male hairs (Duck's Tail reminds me of Alistair's hair from DA:O) :3 Hell, I'd retexture the whole store. XD

    Oh, I meant more like Sims 3 PATTERNS, however thank you for the links. THEY ARE NICE and now I am curious and have to find a new background :3

      I thought that might be what you meant AFTER I posted the comment :P

      Though its a little extra work, you could edit out the background from the picture of a Sim & put the Sim(s) over another picture, so you wouldn't have to use low quality patterns. And it would look kinda like Newsea's preview images... :)

    Hey I just made my own retextures and alpha edits(reversed and added more volume to 87 and widened 89) for these two hairs, and they look awesome but I have a question, did you have to ask Skysims for permission to post yours or no.

    No, I do not ask permission from pay creators as they will most likely not approve of putting their downloads that they charge for, up for free. :3

    If you're going to put them up for download, I would love to see them. I don't really have any mesh editing skills atm however these hairs DO need a lot of work and what you've done sounds awesome, so I say go for it! :D

    Thanks for getting back to me, unfortunatly when I added length to 89 I didn't know until I tested it in game that the end of the hair that I made longer would fly up XD. I'm still getting used to assigning vertices to body parts so the hairs can animate properly but hopefully I can fix it , but here's a link to the previewing post for it along with a few others:
