Retexture update part 1~ Newsea's Vera

(I'm doing this in three separate posts so it's not as clustered--Sweet Scar and Windy City are next)

Okay so...I had to update Vera a bit to make it less dark, so that was done for toddler thru adults.

Skysims 086 retextured!

I hate this hair. It is floaty, has like no morphs, made my textures look crappy and has transparency issues (WHAT? A SKYSIMS HAIR THAT HAS TRANSPARENCY ISSUES!?).

New model today; Lenore got knocked up again by Aaron (goddamn autonomous tree-house woohoo).

As you can see...it is very floaty and on the back there are transparency issues.

And it was the first hair by them I've seen that had no cone head. Oh well...guess I'll try again.

Cazy's Mystical retextured!

Love this hair so much. I did like Cazy's textures but on darker colours it looked ultra shiney and lost its cool anime texture and ended up looking horrible. Granted mine isn't anime-y at all but oh well. <<:

So here's my version. Also note that on the female versions there are those weird hairline spots that are showing up super low on a LOW FOREHEAD. (that's what those specs are). It could just be that my sim's forheads aren't high enough for this hair and it didn't occur to me to raise them when I was taking pictures. If you look at Cazy's pictures, her sims have much higher foreheads than mine, so adjust accordingly.

For both genders, one version (I planned on doing streaks but I got distracted by The Secret World so I will update in a bit). You can have my version and any other version in game at once (it's what I'm doing with Cazy's).

Testing out my brother's graphics card

So my graphics card is a GTX 480, and his is a GTX 680. I'm actually noticing a bit of an improvement in my cc ridden game--my fps has increased and there is still drag, but it's greatly reduced. And I have a shit-ton of cc.

...God. MORE SIBLING RIVALRY TO BE EXPECTED.

Anyway, I'm in game taking screenshots of my hair retextures so I'll have those up in a moment.

Clothes/makeup for children?

Okay so I'm updating my versions of Windy City and Sweet Scar for children as I found the files for them. So I was wondering if anyone knows of any /good/ (as in, non photoskinned crap) clothing for children? I have a couple of dresses and shoes I found, but more is always good.

How about makeup? Now before you go all "OMG YOU SUPPORT THE DEGRADATION OF YOUNG GIRLS AND SEXUALIZATION AND ADVANTAGE TAKING OF THEM!!!!!!"

SIMS CHILDREN ARE UGLY AS ALL HELL. DO NOT DENY IT. Now before you say...WHAT IS WRONG WITH BEING UGLY YOU HATEFUL HAG BODY/FACE SHAMER THERE ARE WOMEN EVERYWHERE WHO ARE COMMITTING SUICIDE BECAUSE THEY ARE CALLED UGLY!!!!

There is a difference between being "not very pleasing to the eye" and "WTF IS THAT ANATOMICALLY POSSIBLE/Cone/alien head/creepy doll face/axe murderer in training". I don't know about you, but when I was a kid my eyes weren't the size of my forehead nor was my nose taking up 90% of my face. (I also hit puberty when I was 10 and had boobs by then and was shaving my legs by 11 and wearing high heels and that was all of my own doing. IT WAS NOT DUE TO PRESSURE. In fact, as a little girl I used to run around in baby pink heels because I loved the clicky sound. Still do.)

Aaron and Lenore's kid--this is the "after" when I had to go into CAS and edit the shit out of her face. Now she still looks like she's thinking "I'll murder you in your sleep for lord Satan" but at least she's not...well. AS UGLY. Also ignore the creepy old dude behind her--I have no idea who he is and why he is on my property. <<<:

Edit: So far I'll be updating Windy City, Sweet Scar and Vera. Any other hairs that have children versions you guys would like?

So I thought this hair would be difficult to retexture as there was a whacky, curvy part in the diffuse I had no experience with...BUT RAINE DELETED IT INTO SUBMISSION PREVAILED.

And it looks soooooo hot .-.

Unfortunately it doesn't really work on Aaron, but oh well.

I will upload this tomorrow. Female version is also done.

Working on a new Sim...

Simone Simons from Epica. I had like zero redheads in my game and her facial structure seemed like it would be simple enough to replicate in the Sims (and I was right--I've been working on her for about an hour now and she looks a lot like her).

For those of you who are like "WHO DAFUQ IS EPICA YO" they are a gothic metal band from...uh. Oh God I forgot.

 Just watch some videos: Storm the Sorrow, Cry for the Moon, Feint (for those of you who are all OH NOES GROWLING), Unleashed. My favourite songs are Storm the Sorrow, Cry for the Moon, Feint, Our Destiny, Burn to a Cinder, and Run for a Fall. If you can't stand the manly growling, listen to Feint, Storm the Sorrow, Our Destiny and Burn to a Cinder. If those have growling it's only for like 2 seconds.

I'll also be making a couple of these poses as well.

ALSO. Does anyone know if there are any thigh high boots that aren't photoskinned and will show up OVER skinny jeans? I tried the ones in base game but those hid under her pants (lulz). GOD.
