Newsea's Chuck retextured!

This hair is for Chedderprime, who is awesome at finding pay hairs for free. <3

All ages, shine only (streaks and rainbow looked weird). They won't conflict with any other versions.

Blue retextured

Mesh not included as per Lapiz Lazuli's wishes. Download the mesh Here. Retexture here. Child version is here.

NOTE: There are two guaranteed ways to have my texture override his. One, read here for the override folder explanation (THIS IS A NEWER, SIMPLER AND LESS BAD EXPLANATION WITH A PICTURE SO PLEASE READ IT IF YOU COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT FROM MY EARLIER CRAPPY EXPLANATION).

The second way is to go into s3pe and export my textures (the IMG files) and replace Lapiz's with them.

I will explain how to do this here. To do this you will need s3pe, my retexture and Lapiz's mesh. Download s3pe here.

Step 1: Open up s3pe, go to File > Open, and open up my retexture. There should be only IMG files in the list. In order to see the IMG tags make sure you have all of the same tags checked as I do in the bottom of this picture here ( it won't zoom in too well so mainly Display Names and Tags are what you want checked). Also, make sure to go to Settings> Enable dds preview and make sure it's on. To the left of Hex button at the bottom also make sure Value has a little blue dot the circle. If it doesn't, click it.

Step 2: Find out which IMG is the Control, Diffuse and Specular. This is easy. The above picture is of the Control. When you have that highlighted, right click > Export>To File and call it something like "blue_control" or whatever and save it somewhere where you can find it. Make sure to save it as a .dds file.

The Diffuse is the light grey image on a trasparent background. The picture below. Do the same as you did for the control, save it and name it whatever you like.

The specular is the darker IMG, below

Export it, name it. Ignore the last two IMGs.

Step3: Open up Lapiz's Blue mesh in s3pe. Now what you're going to do is replace his IMG files with mine. Click on the IMG files until you find his control then right click>Replace and then browse for the control you saved earlier. Do the same with the diffuse (the light grey IMG) and specular(The black/grey IMG).

Step4: Once you've replaced his IMG tags with mine, you're done. Hit File, Save it (name it something descriptive like lapiz_lazuli_blue or whatever. Make sure it's a Package file, and then throw it into your Package folder.

This method will work for my Laplace and Night Springs retextures as well.

Or, you can dump the mesh and retexture in your Package folder and hope the retexture shows up in game. :3

Let me know if you need help.

I HAVE DONE IT OMG--Night Springs Retextured

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuus!

Okay, so this will be my method from now on. I have used Awt's Adjust Shine action thing-a-ma-jig and took Asari's original texture, edited it a bit (so I could keep the grainey look but enough to make it not have that greasy look) and combined aspects of Shyne's method and Poseidon's and BAM! Lapiz Lazuli's Night Springs retextured! AWESOMENESS.

I went a little whacky with the tips/roots but whatevs, I do it using Shyne's method.

Mesh not included, get that here and put that in your package folder; download my retexture here and put that in your Overrides folder. If you need help with figuring out wtf an Overrides folder is, read here.

(I RE-WROTE MY OVERRIDE FOLDER EXPLANATION SO IF YOU COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT FROM MY CRAPPY EXPLANATION BEFORE, PLEASE READ THE NEW EXPLANATION--IT IS SUFFICIENTLY LESS CRAPPY AND HAS A PICTURE)

Let me know if there's any complications!

Edit: Crap, I keep forgetting to say that this doesn't include the child version. I'm pretty sure it has teen thru elder though. I will update with the child version in a bit.

Lapiz Lazuli's Laplace Retextured!

Okay, so I did a retexture of Lapiz Lazuli's Laplace hairstyle that I think looks super awesome. The problem is, this is my first retexture where I excluded a mesh (as per his policy and as he is a free creator I'll respect that). Also I have no idea if I even excluded it "right"...as in, I just went into S3PE and deleted the s*** out of everything that wasn't an Image file. Classy, Raine.

It works fine in my game, although I did crash once out of 4 in-game checks so I want to confirm whether or not the hair did it or if it was just a random crash.

So...get the mesh here, and then download my retexture here. Put the mesh in your Package folder (where you would normally dump hair) and then put my retexture PREFERABLY into your Override folder ((I set one up here to ease annoyance. Even if you don't use AwesomeMod it won't conflict; if you already have a Packages folder, just dump the Override folder AND my Resource file into the same area as your Packages folder--or better yet just copy the Override lines into your own Resource file and make sure it has a higher priority (a higher number) than your Packages folder)).

PLEASE READ: (I RE-WROTE MY OVERRIDE FOLDER EXPLANATION SO IF YOU COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT FROM MY CRAPPY EXPLANATION BEFORE, PLEASE READ THE NEW EXPLANATION--IT IS SUFFICIENTLY LESS CRAPPY AND HAS A PICTURE, read that here)

Oh God. I suck at explanations...if you can't figure it out, ask me and I'll help you.

If your game crashes/explodes, tell me, and I will delete the s*** out of more stuff.

Did some more testing and it SHOULD work ALSO I AM NOT SURE IF THE OVERRIDES FOLDER IS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED. IT WILL HOWEVER GUARANTEE THE HAIR TEXTURE WILL SHOW UP IN YOUR GAME INSTEAD OF LAPIZ'S. Enjoy! :D

HOT MANLY PIC SPAM INCOMING BRACE YOURSELVES~

Meh. It looks better on lighter hair but still awesome on dark. :D
